Has anyone smoked or tinted their windshield?
I think that I would like to give it a try.
Thanks,

I would check with an automotive store - autozone etc. Read to see if the film will adhere to lexan/plastic. I don't see why this would be an issue other than adhesion.

I think in the winter it would crack when your winshield flex's putting on your cover.

Pro, I see your point as I was think in terms of adhesion not flexibility. It certainly is possible the tint could crack, but the product (sheets of tint film) I've used in the past on glass is extremely flexible prior to application. Someone on here must have first hand experience. Any auto glass replacement specialist out there?

Your probalt right It probaly depends on the brand of the tint and how flexable it is.

use Krylon Fusion paint...it molecularly bonds with plastic...Im paiting my shield white to match the rest

Here's a picture of a windshield that I cut down and painted the inside. I used Krylon Fusion paint, 3 LIGHT coats.

That looks really nice

I want to try the RC car paint to tint mine. Hopefully I will get to that soon. Really want to get my motor together first. Some of paint made for those cars is very transparent and comes in a huge variety of colors. I will post results after I do it. I would also be interested in anyone else's experiences using the RC paints. Not sure what it will do in the cold....

Mine is tinted, works fine.

Sorry I missed your post. Unfortunately I have no idea. Bought the machine used and it was alreday done. Stuff the guys used seems to be quite thick and soft though. No idea where he got it. Sorry for the slow response.
