I just removed my flywheel painlessly (luckly) and there seems to be a lot of crud on both the flywheel and the stator. How can I clean both?
I'm also trying to remove the stator from the block but the two screws holding it in are not budging. They are not corroded or rusted in from what I can see. I'm afraid that I'll strip a screw or snap it into the block. Any suggestions on how to get these out?

This inexpensive Harbor Freight tool for $7.00 should do the trick on the phillips drive stator screws. I removed my flywheel and stator on my Viper this summer and I could not believe how well this cheap tool worked.
