just to let you know that I can do the basic carb thing, change jets, clean carbs out and adjust and sync them.BUT..I do not know anything about the needles. How do you check them, where abouts and then changing clip positions....can someone explain the procedures to get to these, the ins and outs of them.

I had the same problem trying to understand the needles till I bought a book on it. It was worth the $$.

Not happening!!!
I tied the throttle back and looked down where I have to get the allen bolts out.Forget it man,I ain't even going to attempt to get in there. With my big fingers and bad eyesight(need new glasses as of 3 years ago)I am not going to f-up my carbs. The needles will remain in there the way they came,I am not that stupid to screw things up in there.Taking the triple pipes off the SRX and back on I can handle. This issue of removing needles in such a confined space..no way man.NO FRIGGIN WAY.

I use a set of rounded allen keys. If you lift the head at the same time as loosening the screws it all comes as one. The trick on pull the whole thing is making sure you end up with both nylon washers at the end of it all.
