What type of rivet gun do you guys use to pop those darn yamaha rivets? :o| Hate to have to buy some expensive rivet gun just for a few rivets but not sure what my choice is gonna be.

an air powered hydraulic rivet gun, bar none................

they are only about $30 bucks at harbor freight tools, worth every dime of it.

if you do any automotive work, or need to install the rivots in the trailing arm brackets, buy the bigger one, they will do 1/4 rivots as well.

What yamaha rivets are you speaking of?

I've purchased most of the rivet types on my Vmax and so far all of them have been easy to hand rivet in place. Even the large steel ones for the trailing arm bracket-tunnel. The various types I have used have all been engineered crush zone rivets not a simple rivet.

The air riveter is nice though and real cheap considering. I need to get one when I replace the power window motor on my Jimmy since 1/4" rivets are very difficult to get in correctly without a big tool.
