Here's a few pics of my 1990 Katana 600 that I picked up for $500. Of course I had to put some money into it....about $75 so far but at least 50-60 hours. I've trimmed the body work, stripped the paint...all six coats, repainted it black, stripped the wheels and painted the rear (still have to finish the front), recovered the seats, added a headlight/flyscreen, remounted the gauges, and gave it a good cleaning. I still have to finish the front wheel and I'm going to fabricate some side covers out of expanded aluminum as well as an expanded aluminum peice for the front of the belly fairing. So far I'm happy with the out come.

That's very cool!
Should be a fun project.

Thanks guys. It has been a fun project. I took it out for a couple mile ride yesterday....first time on it since I brought it home 2 months ago.

Later,
Tom

WOW! looks great!

If you really want it to look good......look for a ceramic coated header.

The exhaust is my next step. I've been watching Ebay for a good used exhaust. I'm hoping to find a stainless exhaust system for it.
