I have a 2000 sxr 700 and my brother has a 2002 polaris classic 600 ves twin.
What sled do think is going to be faster (both are stock) We both bought them this summer.
Thanks

HP is pretty close on those 2 sleds. If the sxr is stock it is going to over-rev. Clutch it and setup your suspension for your weight. It's not that costly and well worth it.

The primary sping has been changed to ywy. What do you suggest for the clutchs

Chgange inner rivet to a 4.5 gram & run a RX-1 helix.

Faster-SX-R
Quicker-Poo600

If traction is about the same on both sleds (lug height, studs) the Poo will jump the SX-R on the holeshot but give it a couple hundred yards and the tripple should start to show its longer legs.

What do i need to do so the sxr dont over-rev?

I told you what to do. I owned 2 & clutched many many 700 sx-r,s!!!!

Take Turk's advice, its works, mine was like a different sled with those changes!Jet down to 142.5 mains straight acrossed, this makes a difference also.

Run the stock primary spring for trail riding but the y-w-y for racing. Run the green stock secondary spring at 60 wrap. Drop main jets to 142.4 & drop the needles 1/2....both clips on top of shim.
