I just recently got this Excel III from one of my friends. Unfortunately, he wasn't 100% sure what year it was. I know that it is somewhere between 1979 to 1985, but I would like an exact year if possible. Unfortunately the badge that has the year of manufacture on it has faded away. I have attached some pictures of it to maybe help you out. Sorry for the junk on, and around it, I am currently working on it in my barn. I can also provide the serial number if this will help to give me an exact year. Thanks everyone.

Colors look like around 1980, but can't be sure without ID #. Looks in pretty good shape!

The ID number on the side of the sled is 8R5-108537. Hopefully somebody can give me a year with this info. Thanks,

the hood is older than chassis maybe 79 the chassis is 80ish, i got a book at home and will get back to you the ser# will tell chassis date.
i don't know if my PM went. it should be a 1982 chassis but not the hood. let me know if you didn't get other message
