top end long travel

it depends on how tall you make it ride. with you on the sled it should only sit an inch or two higher when set up correctly. this for most means a couple mph. alot of the big speed loss stigma comes from m10s with small rear wheels and weird track tension setups. with the stock long travel, your just bending the track a few more degrees.

the other reason for the stigma is that alot of long traveled sleds aslo had tracks installed at the same time. usually deaper lug(slower) and almost always a track that needs the lugs clipped for the heat exchanger/tunnel protector guards. this last one can rob 10-20mphr off a sled depending on the track and tension.

so far, unless they are drag racing, i have never heard of anyone installing a short travel ski back into their sled.

No Loss

I Have The Stock Travel Now With Hauck Adjustable Rods And I Am Going To Hay Days To Pick Up The Viper Rods Tomorrow($10 From Mr.sled)but Does Anyone Know If The Hauck Adjusters Will Work On Stock Viper Rods Or Do I Need The Viper Adj Nuts?????

i long traveled my 800 sx trail sled a few years back. i used viper update shocks ( '03 ER ) & sxr radius & steering rods. i have radared this sled many times. it normally runs 116 - 122 in 2000' @ NBSSR - depending on the day. after i installed the long travel i radared it again & lost no mph.
there is a lot of sit-in with this suspension setup which is why top end doesn't change. in fact weight transfer is a bunch better & i had to take transfer out.
last year i put the same suspension in my 835 srx.

srx speed

My stock 2002 SRX, long traveled with Viper shocks, stock track, conistently sees 108 on the railbeds on GPS, no better.

Can give you before / after comparisons unfortunately.
