I am considering purchasing an 02 Viper with an M10. I had an M10 in a Viper I had 4 years ago but, it was a different model. This M10 has the external resevior for the shock. I did have a problem with my old M10...the holes in the aluminum spacer near the front top would egg out. Does anyone have experience with this skid and know what problems they have?
Also do you guys feel an 02 Viper with 4100 miles and an M10 is worth 2700 bucks? It's spotless clean and stock except the fixes (hood cut, fuel pump, torque limiter, wiring harness).

Great price

Jump on it before some body else figures out where it is...sound like a great deal…Newer style m-10 are better than the older styles...any suspension will break down, when beating on it hard enough…I just got a newer style m-10 for my 03 viper and can’t wait to try it out…The price sounds good, mileage is fair for the year…mine has over 17,000km’s on it…good luck

I have about 2500 miles on a new style m-10 and its been great.I can't really think of many problems to speak of.If you get it check over the whole skidframe periodically for loose bolts as I have found this sometimes, no biggie.Mine is just now ready for slides and I'm gonna have the shocks rebuilt with the m valve put in by fast. They have told me if you ride aggressively at all and like to get on the gas in the bumps it makes a big difference.I say go for it, you can't go wrong!

Ya I think I will call him tomorrow and go pick it up. I remember when I went from my old 02 viper with the older M10 to an 05 RX1 I felt the ride on the viper was just as good. The apex with the rider forward was alittle better than the viper and Rx1 but, the Apex and Rx1 don't handle like the viper.

if you get this sled, do your friends a favor and install a rx1 snow flap, your going to love that sled, those ohlins on the front suck, you should sell them to me for a couple hundred bucks

I called the guy this morning and told him I would be over tonight to pick it up. Ok I have to ask DAAAAAA why do I need to install the RX1 snow flap? I normally end up leading rides will it prevent me from dusting my buddies? BETHEVIPER awesome aviator!!!

Huummmm I just noticed something. It say's I only have 7 posts yet I was one of the first members to join this site. I posted way more than 7 times 2000-2004 when I had SRX's and a viper. I wonder if rebuilds of the board re-set it?

when they dump the old posts it changes your totals.

the flap is for the extra 2in of ride height from the stock skid, the stock flap is close to being not long enough and is flimsy, the rx1 flap is stiffer and a little longer. your friends will thank you.

Hey betheviper thanks I will do that! Anyone got an RX1 flap shipped cheap?
I just got off the phone with the dealer Donahues in Wisconsin Rapids and I have got to say I am impressed! this is the first time I have had a dealer ask me...What do you weigh in gear and how would you prefer your suspension set for aggressive riding or smoother ride. I'm not saying they will have it set-up perfect but, hey they made an attempt and it may be right..plus they don't charge dealer prep and set-up. Most places charge prep and setup and don't do anything. Just have to put a plug in for them. This is the first time I have purchased there.
