Hi fellow sled heads, I have a 2003 Viper and love it in the twistie trails. Cuts through them like a slot car. 2 part qustion but will ask the second later. last year got a local dealer to do a "once over" and they made it slower! I can barely beat my buddies 98 XT 700 until the top end! Normally smoke him at any speed. What did they do? Track to tight? power valve stuck?Your help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site.
You will soon be very educated on how to tune and keep your sled running properly.
I would go through everything yourself. There is alot to be learned about clutching and sled and gearing. I would see what you have in your clutches and chain case for gears. If the track is too tight it will slow you down. Pick the sled up and see how much it sag in the middle and use a fish scale to pull down on the middle outside edge of the track. Yamaha says 1 inch for 22 pounds of force but that is way too tight!!
check for belt wear!!
