I just picked up a 01 srx. I got here cheap as it has a scratched hood. ANyway found out all powervalves are broke. THe cable pulled through. Should the power valves come out of the cylinder completly? I think they should but this is my first yami. Wondering how much all three cost and where to get them. Thanks for any advice, Blake

You might be able to pick up a used set on here for a decent price. If not, just go to your dealer. They are pricey brand new. About $110 a peice here in Ontario and the cables are something like $30 a peice if I remember right. The whole bill came to $550 CDN to replace powervalves, seals, and cables new.
does one replace the cables as well when replacing valves or is that not required. Thanks.

If the cables are not frayed or stretched keep using them

take them to a machinist and have them drill the tops off, thread the shaft, install a bolt with a couple of the top threads mashed, then turn down the bolt head, drill and slot it.
should cost about 30-40$ and it will outlast the cable end.
