Skid change-out 1995 v-max to 2001 V-max Pro-Action

A friend kindle gave me the skid from his 2001 V-max and I'm attempting to install it in my son's 1995 V-max 600. I've got a template from the bolt configuration on the 2001. Has anyone done this.....help!!!

You just need to do all of your measurements off the front drive shaft and the top of the tunnel. Haven`t done it between those skids but just got done putting an edge skid in my srx.

there is an old post in here where some one did this to a v-max 5/600. buy like nysledneck said you have to base all the measurments off of the drive axle and the top of the tunnel.

Never done that specific swap, but have done many skid swaps before. Just make sure your measurements are right on and equal side to side. Everything needs to be square to the axle. Better to measure two or three times and drill once. Not too hard, just take your time. I've found it easiest if you have the donor sled or similar side by side to your project.
