Pipe's


I have a riding buddy that wrapped after market twins on his old v-max. He said he had to re-jet, so it definitely made a difference. You make the most hp when the pipes are hot, so holding the heat in should be a good idea. My only concern would be moisture getting underneath and rusting the pipes, possibly condensation from the temps cooling down (just thinking out loud).

I've thought about doing my triples just to see if it would help with the deep powder bog, but I'm just going to block all the under hood air first to see what that does.
 
You dont wont a powder coat, you wan to the pipes in a ceramic coating (inside/out), Runs about a $100/pipe plus a charge to clean the inside out if the pipes are used already and not new.
