We've been running the Extreme Max stainless steel studs the last couple of years. I'm putting a 136" hacksaw in my sled and looking for opinions on studs. We put some Mega-bites in junior's ripsaw last year and they seem to work well. And what about the Woody's gold diggers? Worth the extra money?
Most of our riding is on a frozen river and groomed trails in the UP.
Will appreciate any comparison and advice on the three.
Thanks.

I can't say if they are worth the extra money as I don't use anything else but I use Woodys gold with the large round aluminum backers for trail and have never had one issue. No breaks, NO bends, NO tear outs, No pull throughs, nothing. Just put them in and forget about them.

The gold diggers do have a cupped head on the stud which grabs the track better and holds tighter.I've run different brands over the years and this is a feature which makes gold diggers a premium product and is what I'd run when I buy studs again. As opsled says you just don't have problems and I can't say this with other brands that I have run.
