I got a few questions i got a hauck 780 that needs a new cylinder, but i came across a set of hauck ported cylinders and cut heads... if i was to put the ported cylinders and cut heads on my sled with v3's,boost bottle, hauck stingers. what kinda hp would i be looking at? 155-160???

I GOT EVERYTHING TO DO A PORT JOB. I STILL WANT TO BE AT STOCK RPM RANGE THAT IS 8500. I WON,T JUST SEND MY CYLINDERS IN. I FOUND ANOTHER SET TO TRY THIS. GUESS IT ALL COMES DOWN TO WHATS DONE, AND WHO DID THE PORT WORK. MY GUESS 155 A REAL NUMBER. SEE THING I HAVE HARD TIME BELIEVEING IS THOSE 2000-01-02 SRX WERE AWFUL STRONG. THEY SAY THERE IS MORE TO BE HAD. LET ME KNOW IF YOU DON,T BUY THAT STUFF. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Depends on what stage it is from hauck and how good its done. Theres differnt specs for differnt levels of performance. To get 155-160hp they need to be ported in the right places, head work and pistons done.

Why dont ya just get the cylinder fixed for the 780 if u already have it???, they can be welded and replated, or another cylinder can be made for the kit if needed, just needs to be bored, ported to same specs as other 2 are and then plated. Pm me I can help on this.

The 780's make good solid power with slightly more torq then the 700 does, they use a wiseco piston and they need to be warmed up real good before useage but as long as they are set up correctly they are reliable. The drawback is the rings dont last as long as the stock yamaha ones do.

yah I have a thing against weico's i can never keep them more then 1000kms Thats why i am leaning towards the ported hauck cylinders... i am hopen for the 155 to 160 mark... the cylinders are a combo of lake and trail....
