04 Viper S

permagrin! I've had 2 since '04 - one without reverse and one with. Love both sleds. The one I have now has reverse, so I like it a little better! Thet are great sleds - you'll love the Ohlins in the front - the difference they make on the trail is incredible. Weak Point - rear suspension. Make sure you have it set up right to maximize what is there.

I have an S myself and love it . Did some clutching last year , what a difference! . And the rear skid is definitly the weak link . i had to tighten mine up quite a bit to get a decent ride but overall am very happy with it .

Have you guy's tried Olin's in the rear..???..It's also a great looking sled...Picked it up for $3500.00..2k miles on it...

I have the Ohlins on the rear - and they really help a lot. I rode my first viper 3800 miles with the stock shocks and had no problems with it. I rode the current one half of last year and then found some money on a tree in my back yard and decided to try the Ohlins lol. They're nice shocks and have a lot of adjustability. I will probably spend a little more time tuning and see what happens. The rear Ohlins are nice though most people on this forum will say to run a expert x or a M10 though.

I would rather go with Ohlin's...Don't want to do any drilling to the tunnel...These sleds will be worth something in the future..

They may very well be true (I hope) - but all of the stuff that they are making today will be worth more when it's 20-30 years old. Make it ride so you can enjoy it now, too!

I love my Viper S. I think the rear suspention is great. I'm 200 lbs and have it on the softest setting. I added a 3" bar riser and i'm now looking for a boss seat. I'm 6' 2" and the seat is to low for me. I ran it all stock last year and it ran great. This year its getting Bender pipes, head mod, and some clutch work. I'm hoping to keep up with or beat the 800's this year. Awsome sled you'll love it.

Just bought a mint 2004 MNT Yiper with a 156" track. I ordered in a new far rear Ohlin Shock. Price was right. Could not find the centre rear shock, but thats ok.

Now cant wait for the snow
