It will as it always does, at least in northern michigan. Some of the recent winters have'nt been the greatest, but we always get some good riding in.If we did get a good long winter I sure would be likin' it!!!!!!!!
I'm sure hoping we get lots of snow this winter!

don't know what will happen out here.We always get snow, but they are calling for a mild winter and snow could be lacking early in the riding season.
Just hoping we get a big storm right off the start.Hate waiting till about Xmas to get out and do some serious riding. If it remains mild, the rivers ad lakes won't really freeze up properly, which could make it hazardous.

cotton wood trees and snow predictions
An old-timer once told me that the cotton wood trees can foretell alot about the coming winter. He said if the trees don't produce much cotton then the coming winter is going to lack snow. If they do produce a lot then the coming winter is going to have a lot of snow. Well, the cotton wood trees produced cotton like crazy this last spring/summer and his predictions have held pretty true so I am betting that we are going to see more snow this winter than we have over the past 3-4 winters.

As long as nobody buys a new machine from October on we'll get snow...for some odd reason back in the past...2 years ago and on...either I'd buy a machine or my buddies would buy in December..January..etc..and everything melted and dried up...I can't explained..I call it the "GOT THE NEWSLED BLUES"...
Hell one year..got my first introductory sled...finally got snow 2 months after I bought it...rode it for hmmm...2hrs..it blew up...and on the drive home taking it for a rebuild we had a massive Dumping...it was one of the biggest T.O had...the Mayor had to bring the army to help out...and I was stuck in the garage waiting for new pistons..arghhhh..
Oh well...I'm crossing every fingers...

We have had snow as low as 8500 ft. The ski resorts Vail and Copper mtn are making snow at night. It might be possible to ride by Nov 1st in Colorado with some luck.

Yeah the Farmers Almanac said that last year...and December started to look real good and then whammo...Green Christmas and coconuts till mid Januaury...boy was it nerve racking trying to align an icefishing trip let alone do some riding...
Trust me MODSRX...I sure as hell hope I don't blow up...but then again...We all could use an extra foot or two...(grin)...
