I see Bender has a mono shock set up for the older sleds which is way cool but I went to site can it wasnt updated .

Anybody seen one or knows about it ? I would like to know price ? Ive seen a small pic and would love to get it for sxr

I'd seen them advertised in their catalog last year, and for the 121 kit, I believe they had it priced at $995. They had a Penske shock with the kit. Don't quote me on price, but that's what I remember from "Last" Years catalog.

From the kit picture it looked like you really only use your rails and bogeys. It's pretty much all new. Have you considered finding a used mono skid? There's an excellent install instruction in the Tech section.

They had a lot of trouble producing that skid due to a number of issues, some technical, and some business related. As a result this setup is not widely tested. It would seem that all of these issues are worked out now. While it looks like a good setup, and I have heard from a few firsthand of good experiences, I still am a bit wary.

Especially when as mentioned, you can find a mono skid for the same price.

did some side by side testing last year with 2 srx's @ benders. one srx had new viper update shocks ( '03 ER ), the other had bender's monoshock suspension.
there are different shock options available with this package. we used the standard basic shock. the monoshock flattened the stutter bumps & was even smoother in the big bumps. in order for the viper suspension to be as contolable & ride as good as the monoshock the valving & springs would need to be changed on the viper suspension & even then i'm not sure it would ride as good as the mono..
yes the mono is available & ready for shipping. call heath or mike @ benders 716 941 5840.

Thanks guys . I was just looking into a diff skid cuz I gave the sxr to the wife and she likes it nice and soft but when a buddy wants to go riding its a pain to keep adjusting that sxr skid. Plus if she's nice I let her ride the Apex and sxr is way to soft my but bottoms out.

The mono is a GREAT suspension for the wife, they ride amazing. I simply cannot believe the ride of the mono in my Attak, it is phenomenal. Not even comparable to a proaction.
