I am putting a 144 summit skid in my 2000 sxr 700 and have a couple of questions.
1.Is there any cooling issues with running a 2in 144 track I got a hartman tunnel extension and I am wondering if it will over heat if I use the cross over tube they gave me instead of the rear heat exchanger.
2.What should I do for clucthing and gear setup I am doing the head gasket mod, notching the reeds I also have a bender can and 8 tooth extros, I ride mostly in the u.p. and plan on riding more in Canada any info on this would be greatly appriciated.

You definetely want to run a rear heat exchanger!

yup I agree find a way to run that exchanger
The original heat exchanger will not fit in the Hartman extension, if I open up the the side of the extension to get the heat exchanger in the connecting tubes will be pointing straight down. Is there another heat exchanger that will have the connector tubes pointing towards the front or do I need to midify the existing one?
On one we did I had a welder friend just cut and rotate the elbows on the cooler so it sat flat in the top of the tunnel. Worked out great. Cost me a case of beer which I got to help use up.
Ok I will try to find someone to weld it.

What about a F cat rear exchanger . It sits in the top of the tunnel . You cut a spot rivet it in .
ok guys thanks for clarifying about the heat enchanger but what about a cluctching and gearing set up.
