Can someone tell me the peak torque rpm and peak horsepower rpm for a stock 98srx 700 engine ? Got my sled back together today and want to start fine tuning Turk's clutch set-up. Thanks , Dana

IT VERY WELL MIGHT BE 8300. ALL MOTORS ARE DEFFERENT. I SHURE WOULD NOT GO OVER 8500 THOUGH. JUST TO DOUBLE CHECK I LOOKED IT MY 98 TECH MANUAL AND IT SAID 8500. 3:16 (yammie tony)

118-120hp but when in the field there is about a 2 hp gain with the ram air

If your racing clutch for 8100 holeshot climbing to 8300 rpm tops. Down low they pull hard at 8100. The books were off claiming 8500 rpm peak for 98-99. Those sleds had a tuff 1st year grass dragging following those specs till someone figured it out; clutched em to rum lower rpm,s & they got a lot faster.

Hey Turk
I am using your set-up 8dn-20's 4.5 gram rivets both holes , white primary , green secondary at 60 degrees with an advant-edge 48/40 helix. What is the performance differance with 53/40 ? I weigh 220 lbs. and would like to have a second helix to play around with. I'm only trail riding but won't pass up the chance to run somebody on the lake , just can't seem to pass the up opportunity to show the old girl can get'er done ! thanks , Dana

It will make the secondary upshift faster & drop your rpm,s.
