Removed the Temp a Flow and redid the vent lines.Do the lines look ok in the pics.I used another pic and Yamaha Parts Diagram to get a look to see how it was done.It is a no brainer, but still would like your comment on it.
Also I cleaned the carbs thru-out.Was going to put back the main jets
138.8 /136.8 / 136.8. Not to be stupid or something, done it many times before, but the larger Main Jet goes to cyl. #1 side right. So PTO side wouild be the 138.8 jet.Center and mag side would be the 136.8 jetting.Correct me if I am wrong.
And if you read this Exciterfan, got the damn clutches lined up perfect on my
SXR 600.Had to really move that motor around a bit. 3-4 tries later I finally got ir right.

I have my 02 SRX set to 01 SRX specs a while back already. This post above is about my 01 SXR600 by the way. That is why the jetting #'s are different.Just needed to know that the larger jet goes on the carb on PTO side, and the smaller jetting goes to center and mag side...that's all.

Never in my life did I ever have a Yamaha belt ever explode on me.That is on four different Yamaha sleds by the way,and I pin my sleds good when riding.I will strictly stick to OEM belts till the day I die...lol.Funny thing, even though my clutches weren't aligned, was using Yamaha belt on it for thousands of miles. Then I go and buy this ultimax belt and it totally explodes to bits after about 200 miles. You will not get an apology from me exciterfan.I was trying to save a few bucks, but cost me a new speedo cable as well.Anyways got clutches aligned perfectly .Put everything back together today.chain case oil change,anti-freeze change and started it up.There also is no wobble in my secondary clutch when I ran it on the stand.Sheaves run true and straight,so axle is not bent after all.
Had a good look at my w-arm in every welded joint. With about 10,000 km's on this sled, arm is still in perfect shape. Will take shock out and replace rubber bushings with needle bearing bushings. And will drill and install grease zerks where arm meets the mount plate,Will touch up the w-arm with black rust paint and she is all ready to go.

You didn't blow the OEM belt, BUT I've seen clutch sheaves worn right through (I'm not kidding). Slippage is inevitable in a CVT transmission and something has to give. I'd prefer it was the least expensive item in the transmission (i.e. the belt).
Good to hear that the old SXR is close to being ready to go.
How's the new job? I heard you left Detail.
I'm planning a snowmobile fundraiser fund raiser for Teen Challenge this winter, it would be great if you could ride with us.
Cheers

Sure things guys. When would you be planning this Fund Raiser ride?I would be looking forward to it.
Exciter fan,I left Detail..would never go back to that backstabber.Just ripped me off with the wages. After 6 devoted years there, this is how I am treated.Just pissed me off.If I where you,I would tell your son to look for a better place to work.I have seen to many good guys leave that place because they weren't treated right and paid right
I am working at Flo-Form Industries installing counter-tops.I used to work there for 18 years previous.New owner now and way better pay.I am making over double the wages then with that damn Detail.I am only working 4 days a week also, taking 3 day long weekends.I make enough in 4 days to keep me happy.I still am doing private jobs on the side. And another good thing, all inside work.No more outside in -35 C or in rain.Ask Allen or Jerry how they like it outside when it is cold and damp?I am so happy now,and enjoy the extra cash coming in to.I want to spend more time sledding with some of you TY local members this winter.Later.

Planning meeting for the fund raiser is tomorrow night. I'll keep you posted on the details once they're nailed down.
I already have a volunteer who has donated his cottage on Jessica lake as a stop over (and his wife to serve hot dogs and chilli!!!). This means it will be a good long loop, probably > 250 Km. I'm thinking we might get the riders to get people to sponsor them by Km. Still early though.
Teen Challenge is a great organization which is actually rehabilitating men who at some point lost control of their lives (none of us are immune). They help men crawl out of a hole and become contributing members of society. I'd ride just for fun, but this is even better (I might sponsor myself!!!)!!!
Like I said I'll keep all of you TYers posted.
