Hey Guys,
I like the smell of Klotz, but is there another product out there that "smells" good like it. I heard IPONE smells like strawberries. How does the polaris gold rate and so on? I guess the smell that "turns my wheels" is the castor that the oil is fortified with, is this true? Thanks for the info. T
 
I've heard that about Ipone too , the polaris ves oil kinda has that strawberry smell too ?? BUT - the XPS full synthetic smells like total CRAP !!!! It may be a decent oil, it almost makes me sick riding behind someone using it in thier doo !! (I should know I used it for one year-and only one-untill I let someone ride my sled(REV 800X) and they rode in front of me !!) Klotz has a cool smell to it, as does yamahalube-it does have its own smell. To me, the smell of two-stroke exhaust will forever be burned in my brain as" The smell of snowmobiling" - can't explain it.... :2strokes:

i realy dont have a favorit but dont realy like the smell of polaris ves burned or just the oil its self and i work with it every day in the winter at work.

i know exactly what you are talking about!! anytime that scent hits my nose i think "ripping down the trail on my srx" or the smell of my jacket after a long ride! never forget it!!
 
I like the smell of Castor.

Has a sweet smell to it that eventually gives everybody behind you a headache
 
we like the ipone smell but it goes through waayy too fast on bros viper nevermind the sxr. smell better than the motul my brother would rather burn. that stuff is great on the power valves but man does it stink when you ride behind him.
 
My brother uses Klotz in his Pro-X and I love how it smells. It smells almost exactly like race gas.
I used to use Polaris VES II and I dont think it has a sweet smell. The odor isnt bad, but it will make your eyes water pretty bad if someone pulls up next to you on a sled running VES II and the wind blows the smoke it your eyes.
I used Polaris Blend in my sled. It does smoke a little more than a synthetic but it doesnt have much of an odor to it and no one who rides with me complains about it stinking, so I think its a pretty good oil.
My vote for best-smelling oil goes to Klotz. You cant beat the smell of race gas.

My old Viper just sipped the oil.. if your Viper is using alot of oil... check your oil pump.. Yes Ipone is the best two stroke oil ever made.. I swear my Viper felt faster on that stuff..

KLOTZ!!!!! I will NOT buy a 4 stroke because I LOVE the smell of KLOTZ!!!!! It's what SNOWMOBILING is all about!!!! It's like DRINKING BEER that tastes like PRUNE JUICE or EATING ICE CREAM that tastes like rice pudding!!!!! WHATS wrong with the WORLD LATELY???? SNOWMOBILES supposed to smell like 2 stroke oil,,,, so do BOATS and WAVERUNNERS!!!!! If you want to STOP the POLLUTION,,, STOP burning your garbage with PLASTIC milk jugs and PLASTIC and styrofoam within the garbage and STOP the CAMPFIRES with using WHATEVER WILL BURN!!!! Those FIREPITS that people have in their backyard SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!!!! Not our 2 stroke sleds!!!!! Gary Oles nosboy

Hey Gary where I live (here in S.E. MI) there is an ordinance that prohibits the use of back yard fire pits and poses a $500 dollar fine along with paying the fees for the fire dept to show up to tell you to put it out.
 
I'm glad that they are doing something about firepits SOMEWHERE!!! In Chicago, It is ILLEGAL to start a fire in your yard but the LAW ENFORCEMENT does NOTHING about it!!! They are too busy keeping AWAY from the problems!!!!.. This POLLUTION thing is getting out of hand and the TREE HUGGERS want to blame the snowmobilers!!!!! WHY dont they BLAME the IDIOTS who jump on UNITED AIRLINES and FLY to WASHINGTON to COMPLAIN about the sledders?????? ONE FLIGHT for ONE IDIOT TREEHUGGER to get to DC from California, MAKES MORE POLLUTION in 1 FLIGHT than ME AND ALL OF MY friends will produce riding our sleds in our WHOLE LIFETIME.... You want the facts????? I'll prove it to you!!!!

only on the ipone would his need adjustment. on the motul it consumes the same as yamalube. bro doesn't want to mess with the setting as he would rather it have a bit more than run lean.
