I looked in the tech pages and saw they only list up to a 40 tooth driven gear. Is there an aftermarket company that makes a 41 or 42 tooth to fit a 700 MM.

Yes, Mountain Performance sells larger gears.......

I understand that a 42 tooth gear is a really tight fit in the factory chaincase.
Also, I think Erlandson (EPI) has gears for Yamahas.

I've got 42's in both my sleds. I pick mine up at EPI as they are right here in town. Your dealer should be able to get you a 42 from one of the aftermarket companys. I think they make a 43 as well, but I haven't tried one so I don't know how it would fit.

I was thinking that some Polaris gears fit also.

The 42 is as big as you can fit in the mountainmax chaincase. I've been running a arctic cat gear for years in my 97mm.

I have a light weight after market 41 tooth that will fit your sled depending on what year it is.
It is a 13 wide 41 tooth non hyvo. I give you a good deal on it.
