Helix

Contact Micro Belmont Engineering in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 616-534-9681 ask for Gary. He has a ton of helixes and they make custom parts also. They are great people. Good luck. Pat

Talk to Ulmer Racing, he is a sponsor on this cite, also check the classifieds you might find a good used one. You could always drop a PM to Turk, he probably has a few lying around his shop.

Why don't you pick up the phone & call them. It's not going to snow this weekend, relax. Info below.
Advant-edge is still in business, I talked to the owner several months ago when I bought my helix, they are NOT selling to the public anymore.
Simon's CPR Supertuner helix's used to be made by Advant-edge as well, not sure if that is still the case or not. http://www.simonscpr.com/

Like SRXer said, give Ulmer a call and check with them or contact Simons CPR. You'll just have to get on the horn and check around. The advant edge helixs seem to be pretty elusive.

you can get them from your dealer or i think simmons racing. i know he quit selling direct to the public 2 years ago.

he quit selling to public just when i was ready to get my sxr clutch kit because i was going to buy it from him.

You need to keep looking for the advant edge helix. Careful on the angle….the advant edge helix allows the stock buttons to shift in both directions MUCH easier.

Try this test….grab the belt (with the stock helix) and you can almost lift the front of the sled off the floor by pulling on the belt.

With the advant edge helix….the secondary opens like it was on bearings…..by pulling on the belt. (at least up until the mid 2000's year)

Don’t worry about his roller or for that matter – any other roller….there is very little if any improvement over using the advant edge helix.

We got to play with a TEAM secondary last winter a bit – that would be my choice over a flat ramp style. The thing had some amazing feed back and very sensitive to the shift balance. Lots on ebay – the older 8 bolt is just fine.

;)! Oh - we have a full range of his helixes - even a bunch of reverse angles - not for sale.
