Hello all,
Recived my Mountain Equipment Coop (MEC) winter catalogue today. Have to admit that I have been wearing slat rat stuff for years, especially googles, gloves and recently and helmet. Love the helmet. Very light. Carbon fiber I think. Used typical sleddin velcro attachment system for the googles. The helmet makes sense since our mountain sleddin speeds and risks are similar to those of the mountain skier. Don't be afraid to try some of this stuff. Mountain skiers were wearing gortex before we knew what it was. IMO, the best mountain gloves are mountain ski gloves for about $40/pair. www.mec.ca
