I just seen that on the news. What is this world coming too? he was only 20 something. If I went off the deep end everytime I had a crisis, I'd have been put away many years ago.

some cop took out 5 people at a party at 3am.. They are pretty tight lipped about it.. I heard that they had to kill the cop...

yup.. he went into a party and started shooting with an assault rifle according to the local news (right now). Took out a 14 year old among the others......... A sniper took him out after a standoff..

Crazy stuff ... my in-laws live in Crandon ... one of the victims was a niece (who was more like a daughter) of a close family friend.

Did anyone happen to see the press conference? I didnt get home until 3:00 so I didnt get the chance to see it.
Some people at work were talking about it today and one of them said something about how the cop has recently broken up with his g/f and that he went to the bar and that some people starting talking smack to him and that basically he went postal.
Any truth to that?

The cop went there to make up with his girlfriend. Then it turned crazy and they were calling the cop and quote " Worthless Pig " un quote. That's when he lost it and killed the people, and his co workers killed him due to him not surrendering.
Heck, I've been called WWWAAYYYY worse than that many times.

I heard that the kid didn't even go through the psycological profile that you are SUPPOSED to go through BEFORE they give you a BADGE and a GUN!!!! APPARENTLY the people who run the CRANDON government don't have MUCH SENSE either!!!! What the HELL is wrong with these people??????

From what we have been told from our family in Crandon the shooter had taken people hostage after the shooting ... and he shot at the police, in turn the police shot him.
I am sure the story will continue to change as time goes on ...

the shooter went to a friends place about 11 miles away and told him what he had done. the shooter than called the police to report that he was the one that they were looking for, after numerous tries to get the shooter to surrender, he shot himself twice under the chin than finally in the right temple to take his own lifeyamahagirl said:

My brother in law has a place just outside of Crandon as a "northwoods" place.He lives in my old hometown of Sheboygan Falls.
He & his son were up there Sat & Sun morning & they were out on thier 4 wheelers early Sun (7am or ) & got stopped by Deputies etc while they were looking for the Peterson kid.
What I do not understand ( beyond a 20 year old being a deputy sheriff??)
is how a guy has to shoot himself 3 times to finish the job??
While I think it is great that this scumball is dead, the 3 self inflicted shots seems kinda wierd...what was he shooting himself with... a 22 short...... a BB gun........,???
Sure as heck wasnt the rifle he used on the kids he killed.
Seems fishy to me, I mean if the cops shot him, damn, take credit!!! If I was a deputy at the scene, hey, no problem dropping this POS kid if he was threatening in any way at all & not gonna give up!!!
