If you were running A/M pipes Id say ya, but since your not I really wouldnt worry about it. But thats really a decsion for you and you pocket to decide. What CDI are you running a Viper or SRX????

I would absolutely run the SRX base gasket. You're basically running an SRX motor now once you have the pipes fitting (think you already do) and get it up and running... would you run a viper base gasket in an SRX??? Definetly run the SRX gasket is my opinion.

the whole purpose of the srx base gasket is to run the engine cooler, since you are running pipes i would suggest using the base gasket, because you are adding so much power, and power equals heat.

use the srx gasket, let me know if you need one, no charge, just shipping.
the viper gasket forces water over to the clutch side to keep that hot(when stock) cylinder cool. when you change to pipes and heads, the hot cylinder is now the middle one and needs the srx gasket to equal back out.
some where in the million post i had on this subject i think i covered it and have the two different gaskets pictured and the different temps i got with each.
