I just ordered 3 TMX flatslide carbs for my SRX. These are not on a rack. Does anyone know what throttle cable to use for these? Also what choke cable?
Thanks

I just assumed the carbs you purchased came from a doo. Just figure out what tripple used to run 38's, and pick up a cable from one of those.

doo uses tm carbs, you need to go to older cat or older polaris.

have fun pulling those three carb springs. your thumb is going to kill you. i had triple 38 on my f111 and they were a killer.

I have a cable here for a 650 indy. It may work. Pulling those can't me worse than pulling 3 VM 36's like my old ZRT 600 had.

Why did you go with the seperate carbs instead of the rack? The rack is so much easier for tuning, and easier to install/remove, and only runs one throttle cable, one choke cable. Plus, the Mach Z carbs look very similar to the stock SRX carbs, so they're sneaky. To each his own though....good luck with the setup.

I bought 38/40 tmx NOT tm flatslides that were only used one year on the 2001 YZ 125 motocross bike. They were more like a lectron. My good friend who has been building motors for 40 years told me to order these. He said they are like modding your motor without modding it. They are supposed to really work.

There isnt any mikuni carb or kehin carb thats like a lectron, the lectron is unique to itself, and nothing will accelerate a engine as hard and fast as a lectron. The other carbs still have all 3 circuits in them , pilot, needle, main, lectron only has the needle and a powerjet to help richen up the top.

But anyways, you might be able to use the throttle cable off a thundercat, say 93-95, I think I remember them having the 3 slide carbs and still a oilpump in the cable? youll have to check. The choke cable is also useable off same sled. youll have to research it some.
