I hear that a lot of people are jetting their 02 SRX's to 01 specs to eliminate the finiky DCS issues. Are the 02 specs safe enough to run in the 01 without the DCS? Any advantages?
that would be the same as stock 2000 jetting, 2002 only used it because it offered the protection of DCS o keep the engine from burning down. 2000's which had a tendency to burn pistons when cold out, yamaha put out a service bulletin to up the jetting to the 01 specs, so your answer is, leave it alone.
I would not run 02 jetting in an 01 personally.
