viper vs apex

Is that Apex set up correctly? I would think a properly tuned Apex/Attak would beat that Viper, even with the pipes.

I have been wrong before tho...lol

That's what I was thinking! My SRX will run ski tip to ski tip my brothers 05' RX1 and the Appex would be faster than the RX1 :dunno:
Unless of course a piped Viper is faster than an SRX..........

My well tuned viper would run right with an attak up to about 100, then the attak pulled away. Maxdlx

Last winter up in calumet mich. we ran a '00 SRX with heelclickers, '03 Viper with Hauck's venom kit and a stock Apex GT. All had identical Ripsaw tracks and riders are between 160 and 175. We ran up to around 90-100 then ran out of room but it was SRX, Viper 1 or 2 sledlengths behind then Apex probably 4 or 5 behind SRX. Although the Apex was a rental so it may not of had the best suspension set up.

You gotta consider the weight though. A piped Viper should be about 140 hp and is about 40 pounds lighter than an Apex. Even with 10 fewer hp, 40 pounds is a pretty big weight difference.
I think it would be a pretty good race between a piped Viper and an Apex. Of course, you could always put a turbo on the Apex and then its game over for almost any other sled that lines up against it (I say "almost" because you never know when you might run up against some crazy radar run sled with a PSI 1200 triple-triple under the hood).
