Which springs and shocks are better/ heavier, stiffer. Viper or Venture. Anyone know specific characteristics? Im planning to mod the sled to a one up and would like to make it a little more bump worthy without breaking the bank. If the Viper springs and shocks are a stiffer then I'll get some.

I have all 4 Viper shocks on my 2001 700 Venture. Same springs, valved progressively. Rides like a Cadillac, swallows big bumps and stutters. The valving was done by Larry at North Country Yamaha, and is a site sponsor. Best bet would be sending your's to be revalved by NCY or Pioneer. Really happy with the sled now. When my son rides it we pull the 2-up seat off and install a SX seat. With the Ripsaw and Viper skiis, it handles great!! good luck with whatever you decide to do.
