Hey everyone! I was just wondering what you guys thought of the Klim line of clothing. I just came from the Toronto snowmobile show and was sold on one of there jackets. I don't know if I just got taken but the Klim rep really made me believe it's good stuff (Gortex, wind and waterproof, light weight, blah, blah, blah!). I was first looking at this fancy looking FXR jacket for about the same price but then I started talking to this sales guy and walked out with this plain looking Klim jacket thinking that looks is not what I am buying it for but rather comfort and protection. Anyone have one of these jackets that can tell me about their experience with it??

Yes, the buy-in for Klim is a little steep. BUT, I have been riding with the same set of bibs for the 4th season. Usually replace bibs every 2 yrs due to blowouts of zippers, seams , etc. Don't know which coat you got, but I am guessing it was a Klimate. The rest of the lineup has no insulation and requires layering. And as to the styling, yes it is a litle plain. I don't care. At 47 I have no one I wish to impress with my RACER clothing LOL.Fit, finish and useability, kind of like the sleds we ride!

Thanks for the response Viper Dave! Yes, I did go with the Klimate and I feal reassured after hearing your opinion of there product. Do you know anything about there boots or recommend any good boot?

I will not ride with anything but Klim gear. All my buddies wear it also. Best warranty, totally water proof. Lasts forever. We all wear Klim bibs, jackets, socks and boots. Never wet allways dry and sweat free..Their undergarments, pants, vests, etc are also good quality.
A $850_$1,000 hit for the whole outfit hurts, but being dry under all conditions makes it worth it.
Out here (Colorado) our riding (I suspect) is a lot different so the Klim gear is perfect for us. We can spend an hour up to our butts or higher in snow digging out. When we are in 2-4 feet of powder our only concern is staying dry

PS: The Klim Adrenaline boot is water proof and breaths so well your feet never get sweaty and therefor stay warm. Designed for the active rider, not for a sit and ride all day person. Very confortable, light weight, small foot print (feet fit in running boards well).

The first time you really need to be warm and dry it will pay off. I've had to spend the night in the woods and luckily we all had Klim gear. I wouldn't want to think how things might have ended up if we all weren't wearing decent stuff and one of us started getting wet or cold.

Ditto on the Adrenaline boot. I have a pair of Radiums that were too small for me if you are interested. The Adrenaline is styled like a more traditional boot, and offers light weight, warmth and dryness. I wear their socks and also have pair of their gloves. My feet sweat a lot, and I have NEVER taken my Adrenaline's off and had wet feet. I know others will say the Klim products are too expensive. Well, they aren't cheap, but when a product delivers as advertised, cost is not a factor to me. The analogy I gave in my other post sums it up. Use their layering system and you'll be warm AND dry.
