Who on here has done it??? Did it help?? I noticed with my bender 4x4 and race can, I dont lose any r's but I did lose a shit load of topend. Should I just pipe the bitch and get the power out of it I want??? I'm undecided and would like to get lots of performance out of it but still do descent on gas and I know that wont happen. How would this sled run against say, an 03 mxzx 800ho???

The pipes are a quick 20-25hp on a sxr,sx engine, but like you posted, they will drink ALOT more fuel due to their design, its the pilotjets and rich needle setting where all the fuel goes in a trail sled, the mains really dont make a differance on your gas mpg like the other 2 do. have you done anything to the sled besides a can? theres lots of little cheap mods to really wake up those engines.

ok, I was going off your avatar.

what are ya running for clutching in it?

you can pep up the engine with the single pipe, some mild trail porting, slight compression increase with head reworking and clutching go a long way. The only step up from there is pipes, big bores.........its endless from that point...LOL

I havent touched the clutching. I'm thinking of just selling the pipe/silencer and putting the stock on. Maybe trying turks clutching for stock.
