No not really,

Especially if that is the only nod by itself.

Stock Yamaha reeds are actually pretty good quality and last a long time..

the mods i have are gutted airbox cold air intake and thats about it just wondering while i have the carbs off to clean them thought it would be easier then pullin them again....how long do the stock reeds last??

Usually at least 6,000 miles or so. You know they need replacing when the tips don't seat tightly to the cages or if there are chips out of the ends of the reeds. OEM Yamaha reeds are very high quality. Aftermarkets won't really gain you anything on that sled other than more maintenance (frequent replacement) and higher cost.

Negative again. The small cylinders on these triples dont have the problems with cylinder filling that the boost bottle alleviates so much on the big twins.

thanks so much i would have spent a pile of money for nothing.....now with the reeds i will check those and see what they look like i got 13,000 kms on this mill....can you change just the petals and cages or change the whole reed itself
