Looking for a 2 stroke cheap thrill project. Want it for ditchbanging so I want lightweight but has to have some balls. Want to run 90-100mph, with a 136-144" track. Looking at yamaha first before other brands to see whats available. Would like the whole project to be under $3000 when done and have something reliable and fun to beat around the massive drifts we get in Iowa ditches. Let me know your thoughts! :2strokes:

The 2000 phaser was 489 dry and 60hp, I think I would rather take a SRX or viper for the same weight. If that is as light as they got from 2000+ then that is what I will look at. Thanks

the phazer fan is the lightest, thats what you asked for. if your on snowest, look up the 383 guy. i think his sled weighs less than that now, but he had a 800cc motor and i forget the chassis, but the whole setup was 383 lbs. not pretty, but it boogied through the deep stuff he said

Look into a 97' -98' liquid-cooled vmax 500 - 600 XTC . If I remember correctly they were in the 472 - 476lb.(dry) range . Esay to mod -up the chassis - and you could do some with the motors too ! ?

i had one of those. will run 93mph clutched no pipes with the 1999 gearing in it short track.

i think he is in tripple country or the old phazerII.

oh crap i forgot about the late 90's venture in the pogo chassis. already long tracked and gearg for the long track. just need to strip off the 2-up stuff off to lighten it up more.

the short track phazer was said to be 455lbs and the mountain lite(canadian model) had a 136" track and was listed as 485lbs from yamaha.
