took my reed cages out while i was cleaning the carbs on my 98 srx 700.....noticed a couple petals were chipped on the corners and ends....what do i change here...i know to change all the petals but do i have to change the stoppers as well??? thanks

Nope the stoppers are fine. Yamaha oem petals are about the best out there too, IMO Maxdlx

Ditto on the Yamaha OEM reed petals being top quality. No noticable performance gains on aftermarket reed valves (V-Force, Boysen, etc...) or aftermarket pedals....especially on an SRX. SX-R or Viper might be a different story, which you can do a reed valve mod.

well ive been pricing them out up here in canada....they run close to 15 a piece then i found out cycle parts nation and they are 7 something ea so im ordering a bunch of stuff from them

As far as pricing, try www.portyamaha.com. They are site sponsor, have great pricing, and great people to deal with. Any yes, they do mail order. They have the Yamaha parts diagrams available right on their website.
