I've done a few searches, found a lot of info about tracks, and that a 1.25" ripsaw on my 01 SRX will need to be clipped, but can anyone tell me how to clip it, or link me in the right direction?

I'm going to the 1.25 because I can't seem to hook up on anything. I currently have the stock track, with studs in it. Biggest thing is my brother has on 06 Rev 600 HO, and I know the SRX is way faster, I just can't hook it up... This year he is going to learn the hard way while I do the doo...

Thanks for any input

If you want to spend aa little money, from what I remember, Dennis Kirk sells a track clip compression tool. You can slide the clip over the clip position in the track and it will squeeze it on nice and tight.

I had to replace alot of these on my 440 exciter when my adjuster broke and I was blowing clips out with the ears on them. Now I am cheap so I just used a 24 OZ hammer and beat them on. It worked great. Didnt hurt anything. Just make sure you have hyfax on if you decide to pound them on. Others may tell you different but it worked for me.

I would put a 1" predator in the sled and call it a day. If you want to put in the ripsaw. I think you are talking about clipping off the lugs for the guards on the heat exchangers. If you need a track 9830H is $310.00 and 9921H is $320.00.

Where you from in Michigan, I am from St. Ignace. I will have my 2 sleds at the January 9th-13th Munising ride.

Located in Marlette, Michigan. It's in the thumb, about 1 hour west of Port Huron.

The reason I'm going with the ripsaw is that it's a take off from a new sled, and a friend of mine is selling it to me for 200.

Is the 1" that much better than stock?

I may try to head up that way (St. Ignace) for some riding. What is the Munising ride on Jan 9-13th? Maybe I can be there for it.

stock is .92

I love my 1.25 rip saw you may lose 2-3 MPH on top-end with the rip saw but dont really notice it unless you are going to to radar runs or drag your sled a distance.

It hooks up really nice. You can turn around and sell your stock track and get some money back that went into your rip saw.

I go to my cousins cabin in Port Austin when I am up that way. Daman from here on TY is not very far from there either in Bad Axe.

Look on the TY section. A big group of us from this site get together as a scheduled group ride and meet up at the hotel specified by Mr.sled

Alot of the wisconsin boys come on the rides and alot of people from lower Michigan area. It is alot of fun and get to meet some good people. The after hours in the lounge with everybody I think is more fun than the ride. LOL

I'll have to check out the lounge, it would be good to meet a lot of the riders on this forum.
Tomseal6 - By the sounds of it, I won't even have to bring my sled.

The biggest reason for the ripsaw 1.25 is for the traction. I can live with losing 2-3 mph top end. What I can't live without is ripping on my brother when I beat him and his 600. It's my understanding those 600 HO's only do about 70 mph anyway :)

If you don't want to get beat anymore....go with a 54/42 helix at 3-3 leave everything else the same, put in a Predator track, if you can get some more transfer in the skid he will never see you. If you are over 210# go with a 54/40 helix 3-3.
