Hello All,
I have just relocated to the rocky mountain area and I am trying to get my viper set up for the altitude. IT is a stock motor and currently has 158 jets in it. I am looking for some suggestions on how I should set up the motor. Thanks

whats your elevation where you will ride at. Maxdlx

Well since I am still getting to know the areas to ride in out here, I will guess that the altitude is between 8000 and 11000 feet. Where I live is about 8000 but I know that vail pass is over ten and has some spots higher.

Call Tom Hartman, he's a Yamaha specialist in Nampa, Id. and I am sure he can set you up with exactly what you need for riding in your area.I've dealt with him just recently and bought some items.He has been in the Yamaha sled business for 24 years so I'm certain he knows what he is talking about, check out his website also www.hartmaninc.com

If it helps...I ride at 6000-10000 and run 145 jets.
