First of all, see post #6 in this thread http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=40210
If you're still game, You'll likely need longer bolts x2, spacers for those bolts x4, collars for the carbides x8. Plus the handles and related hardware.

If you have the steel or cast aluminum saddle skis, it will sit roughly 1" lower in the front.
I'm pretty sure my flatlanders came with #3 installed. So #5 x8 and #14 x4.

i have heard through port yamaha that installing saddless skis on proaction front ends will cause the ski to hit the trailing arm under flexing conditions is this true can anybody relate to this....could i use viper spindles and make a spacer or use viper arms what works bestthe yammy skis are about 200bucks cheaper then other aftermarkets so im weighing my options

I was warned about this but haven't had it happen yet. The biggest problem would arise going slow over ridges/snowbanks and trying to turn. The rear of the ski could 'possibly' come in contact with the trailing arm and freeze the steering momentarily. Weigh the problem for yourself.
You could do the viper trailing arms or a newer Vmax for that matter, I thought about a spacer but there a strength issues to consider.

srx maine i read those links....still thinking about doing it just heard from 2 yammy dealers that the ski might/will hit the trailing arm as the ski is now 1 inch closer to the trailing arm....wondering if anybody else has this problem

Ive had the new mountain skis on my 01 mm700 for two seasons. Riding aggresively I have never once had a problem with the rear of the ski hitting the trailing arm.
