I realize this may be in the tech section but I cant find it. Will a long travel rear skid from a SXR a VIPER or an RX1 bolt directly(not one little mod) into a 2002 SRX?

yes, it will from a sxr or a viper. I dont know for sure about the rx1, others may know.

rx1 skid you have to use the rear shaft of the srx. other wise there is a 1/2 inch gap on each side. also the rear shock on the rx1 skid cant e rebuilt cause of steel body. other than that the rx1 skid goes in with ease. :letitsnow

Yes it will bolt in from a SXR.I did that conversion this summer into my SRX with no issues.I beefed up the w-arm and made sure all bushings are tight and put extra grease zerks where the arm attaches to the mounting bracket, also put extra zerks where the control rods pivet on the rails.Put over size Polaris idler wheels and went with 7.5" rear wheels.I also replaced the front shock bushings on the skid with needle bearing bushing, which should keep the shock tight in it's place,no play in them. All my rear shocks were re-valved and put on marginal snow wheels up front. Also put in my skid a 1"
Predator 6-pitch track to go with everything.Go for it.

Take $300 and buy a cat or edge skid off of ebay. The 141 cat skid I have is lighter than a 121 proaction. Not a direct bolt in but not too hard either.

hey cac you'll have to let me know how she rides. i might have long track mine in the future. not for a year or two. hey i was also wondering if you would sell your transfer rods.
