I'm longtrveling the front of my SRX. I picked up a set of 02 revalved viper shocks with approx. 400 miles on them and have a set of stock 04 viper er shocks. What would the differences be, if any, between the setup on these shocks. Which ones would be better for my SRX?

They are the same. Did you get everything? How does it look?
everything looks perfect. Thanks. I was just curious if on set was valved different then the other?

Springs maybe!
If the revalved 02 stiff shocks were done properly, they should be smilar to the softer 04's or the upgrade kit yamaha offered in early 03. Maybe your revalved ones, still have the original stiff spring on them, where as the 04 use a much softer spring. That is something I would check.

So, do I want a softer spring or stiffer one?

What did you end up going with? I widened my front end and put viper shocks on my SRX. I have the original ones and am not real happy with the ride in front. I'm curious the re-valved ones are much better.

The "revalved" shocks if from Yamaha, are the same as the 03 Viper ER shocks.
Most say the factory viper shocks were too stiff and the "revalve" ones too soft.
Most people say if you send your shocks somewhere to be revalved they will be "just right"!
