Just finished putting my sled back together and have a few questions before I fire it up. I cleaned and adjusted the carbs and was wondering where the fuel screws should be adjusted. Its a stock 98 srx with 1.146.3 2. 146.3 3. 148.8 main jets. Stock reccomendation is 1 1/8, is this a good place to start? I also just put on a bender silencer, do i need to rejet? I replaced the fuel and oil lines and bleed the oil pump, should i run pre- mix?

Run a small amount, 1/2 tank fuel half qrt oil or just make oil cable rich, but not too rich...you do not want to create a lean out condition...After my rebuilt I just richened up the oil cable and made the fuel screw rich and ran 1/2 tank/oil premix... watch temp on engine closely and then when I went through my 1/2 tank I reset my oil cable to stock and fuel screw...But my sled was all stock, no after market can...hope this helps

Is this the same as the 99? If so I'll be printing this out and getting everything perfect when I go through it.
Thanks for the info, now i can go put my carbs back in and get it started!!!

Open up your fuel screws to 1 1/4 turns or so and it will run better in the bottom end.
