I went and measured from the floor to the center of the bumpers today to see my heights. The front height from floor to center of front bumper is 16".
The height from the floor to the center of rear bumper is 21.5".
Can someone go and check their stock SRX(with no suspension changes made)so I can see what changes were in my height?Just curious.daman...anybody!!! THANKS

Here are the measure ments on my 02

Keep in mind that I have some big dually carbides on the front and a 1.25 ripsaw track

FRONT: 16.25 inches

REAR: 19.75 inches

Just curious!!!

ANYONE else, can you please see what your SRX's are sitting at since most of you are preparing your sleds for the upcoming driving season.THANKS again.:letitsnow :letitsnow :letitsnow
We have snow in the forcast starting Nov 9th.Hope it stays.

It's funny.I did the front shock bracket flip and switch and wasn't I supposed to get another 1 " approx lift in the front.I am still at 16" which seems to be a stock height.Doesn't make sense. To bad I didn't measure before I did the bracket flip.

if the rear end is raised more than the front (from original position), the nose will go down. its pretty simple geometry if you think about it

My srx is 23" rear and 18" in the front with my suspension setup Measure from the bottom of the bumpers

I have expert x rear and i have the extended ohlins with the shock mount flip in the front but i also have C&A's which lower it a hair

I could tighten up my springs on the front shocks to bring it up a little more.Mind you, when we sit on our sleds, then we can measure and see what the heights are when we are riding normal.Basically with an SRX,when we are pinning it,the front end seems to always go up,not down.I know I gained some height for sure because my radius rods are not level across, they aim down which tells me the front end is higher.
TopGunSrx 18 to 23 is a 5" difference. Mine is 16 to 21.5 which is 5.5 spread.I could stiffen the front springs a bit to lift me up another 1/2" no problem.

remember, that preload adjustments will significantly affect your ski pressure and therefore handling in corners vs. traction. mroe ski pressure is always the safe route obviously

riding may be the best way for you to dial it in
my long travel rear and flopped front brackets currently result in level radius rods and just a slight drift accellerating out of corners.......

My totally stock 98 SRX700 when picked up and dropped from a couple of inches for set in, is 15 3/4" to bottom of front bumper(ohlin front shocks) and 18 3/4" to bottom of rear bumper.

Have everything in place to do the long travel, but have not decided if I want to go that way or not after Talking to Gerard Karpik owner of Fast a couple weeks ago when he was out test running one of his sleds on my girlfriends property (big power line runs thru a section that is pretty wet). He was getting ready to head up to Alaska. He said he had a rx1 skid and a couple of used m10's at the shop for me to look at if interested(his shop is about 5 blocks away).

But I'm cheap and winters here have been marginal at best, hard to justify the cost when I only put on 800 miles last winter, but will have to decide soon..lol :dunno:

you can't really worry about the dimensions your asking about. sure, they play a role, but their role really is in the center of gravity. you raised the sled, and raised the center of gravity = less stable in the corners unless its adjusted for the height change. ride it and see how it handles and goes through the motions in order to make your adjustments. function over form...
