Looking at options for my 96 Vmax XT. The skid is out while I am going through it and while the items look good all bushings appear to be GONE! Cost wise i was wondering if its worth the 1-200 i am going to be spending on bushing a shaft some bearings and shock revalving (if needed) or if i should upgrade to a newer skid. I however do not want to have to drill and new holes in the tunnel and was wondering if any other skids bolt in as this is the first (i believe) pro-action model?

How do you ride? Rough trail or groomed?
I have had 2 of these sleds, bought the second one because the rear skid rode so much better than anything else I have owned so far. However I don't "ditch bang" either. I don't think you can beat the 96XT with new bushings and well greased for the $$$.

I do some ditches but not very many, mostly trails that Are groomed but get beat up pretty quick. I think i am going to rebuild looking at about 250 for most bushing and both shocks rebuilt if needed.
