Anyone have a source for brass skid bushings?

What bushing are you looking to replace in the skid???? Curious cause BTV has a great write up for tighting up your Pro Action bushing using cut strips of aluminum cans. Im in the process of doing this mod right now, just waiting new bushing to show up cause both top and bottom W-arm bushing were shot.

I read the write up on tightening the skid. Not a real fan of the aluminum can fix. It reminds me of the combat repairs we used to do on aircraft back in the 70s. You ever fly? Those are the ones I would like to replace with a good fitting brass bushing.
I want to do something with my skid after I get my motor back together and running right. Dealer has a bushing kit for $60. Haven't really shopped around for that but I am pretty certain I will have to replace mine.
Where did you buy your bushings from? How much $$$?

The polaris skid I was going to put in my viper had zerks in those locations - might be worth looking into adding some grease zerks there, too.
I hate to say it but that edge skid I had looked better engineered than the pro-action skid.

I bought them from Port Yamaha along with some Yami shock covers. Bottom bushings set me back $2.00ea which call the fiche for a qty. of 4 but I only pulled out 2 out of mine, one for each side but I still bought 4. Top 2 bushing ran $3.14ea. Plan on drill/tap the bottom W-arm mount and installing a zerk fitting on both sides.

You could try nylatron as well. I think Pioneer is still selling a full rear nylatron kit.
