I put a two inch bar riser on my XTC 500 and the oil pump cable is to short now and pulling on the pump when you turn the bars. This is also causing it to pull it out of the adjustment housing and catch on the edge and not return thus leaving my pump at WFO. I have tryed rerouting the cable everypossible way and cannot get it to work properly anywhere. Does anyone know if any of the other Yamaha's incorperate a longer oil pump cable. Possibly one of a Mountain Max? If so a part No. would be outstanding!
Also just so you will know. The PowerMadd cable extension will not work on this either. The stock cable does not have a groove for a clip and that is definately needed for it to work properly. Also its about a quarter mile to long for a 2" riser.

go to a dealer and order a after market iol cable longer
out of what ever sleds
try rev440x they seam to have realy long cables

Have your dealer look up a Mtn Maxx cable, for any 97 up twin, and you will get the length you need... Same for the throttle cable
