do i need to take off the rear wheels to bolt on tne control rod on a long travel setup

I am not sure which end of the control rods are you talking about, but the answer is "Yes" to both. If it is the lower, you need to remove the outer rear idler wheels. If it is the upper, you will need to remove the idler wheels that are pressed on.

you need to remove the one on the nut side, and push the axel out just far enough to get the control arm on the other side. Maxdlx
