difference between tall and short clutches.

i cracked my primary clutch on my 03 venture 700 early this summer so i had to get another one (empty) the one i got on my sled now is a 99 srx 700 clutch with my venture rollers, weights, spring and cover in it. will this work??. the covers looked identical to me....thanks.

your sled came with a tall cover primary, just like the one that srxes came with.

short cover primaries are the same except for the cover. they take different springs.
