What's up with this? My Sis has a cabin on a resort in St. Germain. She's been told that they will not be able to let renters use their hot tub unless the water is checked 6 times a day or something crazy like that. WTF. They can't do that. Has anyone else heard this? PK

I check my Hot Tub maybe once a week, sometimes a little longer intervals. In you sister's case, she is renting out the premises and I guess she is responsible.Unless there is 30 people at one time in the hotub, forget about checking the water,it will be horribly dirty. She would have to sit next to the tub while others are in it and monitor things. She will have to shut it down then, wouldn't be worth the hasle.

She drains it after every rental. I guess this starts in April. I still get to use it but what about sledders who want a cabin with a tub. Hummm.

Very serious type of drug resistant infection has been showing up in hot tubs. New rules are being set mainly for hotels and resorts where the tubs get a huge amount of use. If the chlorine levels are kept at the right level your sisters tub would be safe but the state can't set one standard for the hotels and another for business's like hers so they will take away all our fun.

Yea, I get it. It still's a bummer. Another example of how one Streptococcus Pneumoniae can ruin the fun for everyone.:( PK

no floaters allowed .............LOL!!

wow, who the heck is gonna police this?? :brr

Lose the chlorine and put in some 35% food grade Hydrogen Peroxide, I don't care what kind of antibiotic resistant bug it encounters, its DEAD! Then she needs to write to this agency and request verification and authentification of their identity and authority by providing true copies of their Oath of Office and their bond number, where the bond is held, who is the insurance company, what is the surety and where is the surety held. Then watch them scatter! I do this to lawyers and other public nuisance, whoops, er, I mean 'servants', and all I see of them is heels and elbows!!! G.
