I have a 2004 700 viper er with the long track conversion . Anyway i went to clean my power valves and they were severely stuck. This I believe was because I went out in fresh powder one day then the next day went through 4 quarts of oil in 100 miles because ,as I found out, my oil pump cable had frozen almost wide open. I eventually got them out but now want to adjust the cables.I saw the instructions on this site but just want to make sure i am clear. I turn the key on , listen for the servo to activate and then loosen the holder bolts on all three valves and then pull the outer housings out until I feel the slack is gone and then measure distance "a'.Then just loosen the lock nuts on the adjusters and tighten or loosen them depending on what the measurement "a' is.Thanks,Rodney

Your servo should cycle with the key as you stated, then check/adjust per the post above.

I will get a set of calipers and try to go through the procedure again and measure with the calipers. Thanks,Rodney
It's a little easier to measure if you use two 2.5mm allen wrenches....one on each side of the block as you adjust the cables.
Yeah, sorry I didn't notice that wasn't in that link. When you loosen that outer housing and create the gap, just drop a 2.5mm allen key on each side and then adjust the cable at the servo motor until it lightly snugs on the allen keys. Keep checking the servo position that it hasn't moved, because it will rotate sometimes as you tighten the cables. Just turn it back to the open position by hand if it does.
